  The act II of the Hamlets play begin with the arrival of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern two of Hamlet´s firends, they had come to the palace at request of the King and Queen who were concerned about his behaviour after the decease of the former King, Hamlet´s father.

  Apart from that problem, the King Claudius receive the ambassadors he had sent to Norway in order to speak with the King of those lands. The Norwegian King reprove the attitude of his son Fortinbras who attempt to start a war against the Danes. The prince swore to never again attack Denmark, in replace of that the King urged him to gather the army he had assembled and instead of fighting again Claudius kingdom attack the Poles. Fortinbras sent a request through the ambassadors to Claudius for him to allowed safe passage across Denmark to be able to attack the polish.

  Coming back to Hamlet situation, Polonius declare that the prince is mad in love for Ophelia and proposes a plan to test his theory; he would hide behind a curtain while Ophelia confronts Hamlet but that action will take place on the act III.

  Then Hamlet met with his two recent arrive friends who tell him about their concern about his behaviour and his lost of joy and they think that a theatrical troupe that was on the town would lift his mood. After getting impressed of the speech of the troupe about Troy he announced that the next day they will performed "The Murder of Gonzago" but with an aditional speech wrote by Hamlet himself. That speech had decided to change the play a little to reenact the murder of his father by the hands of Claudius and see if the King show some visible sign of guilt. This action also occurred on other act.
