Are demi-gods mentioned in stories (in greek mythology) like gods and goddesses are? if so which stories?

In Greek Mythology, the heroes (demigods) are characters that had an intermediate position between the Gods and humans. They had special powers superior to the human ones (force, intelligence, speed). However, they were mortal. In accordance with Greek mythology, the heroes were Gods' children with human beings.

The heroes appear in several mythological histories of Ancient Greece. Using their special capacities, they are able to defeat monsters, to fight several opponent warriors and to act in missions that would be impossible to the mortals. On the other side, the heroes were presenting some human defects (psychological and physical).

Main heroes of the Greek mythology and their acts:

1. Aquiles: He participated in the siege of the city of Troy, helping in the Greek victory. He was an excellent warrior, with many qualities in this area. His weak point was the heel. He died for being reached in this place, by an arrow hurled by Paris. This event took place during the Trojan War. This story can be read in Ulysses' Odessy.

2. Hercules:  The physical force was the main quality of this hero. His exploits are present in the histories on Twelve Works of Hercules. He defeated monsters and carried out several challenges that would be impossible for the human ones. He was a son of Zeus and Alcmena.

3.  Theseus: He won the Minotauro in the labyrinth of Creta.

4. Agamemnon - a brave and strong warrior, was the fighting commander at the Trojan War.

5. Perseus: He was the hero who managed to behead the Medusa.

6. Ajax: A fighting hero who also acted in the battles of the Trojan War.

7. Edipo: With his superior intelligence, was the only one who deciphered the enigma of the Sphinx. He became a king of Tebas.

8. Cadmus: He conquered the dragon that was controlling the city of Tebas.

9. Atlanta: Greek heroine who had participated in the hunt of Caradon's wild boar.
