How does the setting emphasize that mrs. stevenson is alone?

I read this play! I loved it!

She stated many times, frantically, that she was alone.

The setting helped by showing her in her bedroom by herself.

I kinda think this may not have helped...

But I hope it did in some way!

The film "Sorry, Wrong number", released in 1948 by Director Anatole Litvak, is about a radio play that was played for first time in 1943. According to the  understanding of the film´s plot, arise the question about how the setting help emphasize that Mrs. Stevenson is alone, and the answer is that the setting and the context clues help to give emphasis to Mr Stevenson loneliness.

Clue context:

- She has a disability and has to be in bed due to a non specific illness.

- She repeatedly, but unsuccessfully, tries to reach her husband on the phone since she was worried about him.

- She has given her nurse the night off

-  The patrol officer on her block has left

- She calls to the police and then to the hospital but she was not successful either.

-  She is unable to take care of herself.
