As a machine shop owner, you are asked to produce parts are per drawing shown below. The part is
to be waterjet cut from Aluminum (Al-6061-T6, density= 2.7 g/cm3) 0.063" thick plate stock costing
$12/pound. Water jet machine runs at a constant cutting speed of 200 mm/min, at an operating cost
of S20/hr.
1) Find the coordinate point of vertexes A to T to be used for CNC waterjet cutting machine.
2) Estimate the material cost per part.
3) Estimate the machining cost per part.
Drawing: All dimensions in inch. CNC starting point is at A= (2,2). Vertical dash line indicates line
of mirror symmetry
