a steel rod of 30mm diameter is enclosed centerally in a hollow copper tube of external diameter 50mm and internal 40mm. the composite member is then subjected ta an axial pull of 55KN if the length of each rod and tube is equal to 250mm, determine the stress in the rod and tube. Also determine the load carried by rod and tube.
