A three-phase, 60 Hz, synchronous wound rotor machine acting as generator is observed to have a terminal voltage of 460 Vrms and a magintude terminal current of 140 Arms at a power factor of 0.88 lagging. The field current under this operation is 50 A. The synchronous reactance is 1.0 and you can assume the armature resistance to be negligible. Analytically find:

(a) 10pts. The internal voltage of the machine
(b) 10pts. The magnitude of the field-to-armature mutual inductance.
(c) 10pts. The electrical power output in both kW and HP.
(d) 5pts. Draw the phasor diagram of the internal voltage, the machine line voltage drop, and the terminal voltage of the machine.
(e) 5pts. What is the electrical phase angle difference value between the magnetic axis of Or and Ff?

Refrigerant-134a enters the compressor of a refrigerator as superheated vapor at 0.14 mpa and -10°c at a rate of 0.05 ka/s and leaves at 0.8 mpa and 50°c. the refrigerant is cooied in the condenser to 0.72 mpa and 26'c. it is then throttled to 0.15 mpa. sketch the t-s diagram for the system and evaluate: 6) the rate of heat removai from the refrigerated space (kw), it) the power input to the compressor (kw), ii) the isentropic efficiency of the compressor (%), and iv) the cop of the refrigerator.
