Three phase, 12 pole induction motor is excited by 60 Hz three phase source. At rated load and speed, the induction motor runs at 860 rpm and absorb 90kW power from the three phase AC input. The kinetic energy of all revolving parts is 100kJ at rated load and speed. 1. Calculate the slip of the motor at rated speed. 2. If the voltage induced at rotor bar is 10V when the rotor is locked, what is the voltage induced at rotor bar when the motor is at rated speed? 3. What is the I^2R loss at rated load and speed? 4. Plugging is applied to stop the induction motor and then reverse the rotation to 860 rpm, how much power dissipated in the rotor circuit during this process?

A2-m rigid tank initially contains saturated water vapor at 100 kpa. the tank is connected to a supply line through a valve. steam is flowing in the supply line at 600 kpa and 300 c. the valve is opened, and steam is allowed to enter the tank until the pressure in the tank reaches the line pressure, at which point the valve is closed. a thermometer placed in the tank indicates that the temperature at the final state is 200°c. determine (a) the mass of steam that has entered the tank (b) the amount of heat transfer.
