Design single-ended amplifiers to maximize voltage gain for small load and large load. Only NMOS and PMOS can be used in the circuit, no capacitors, resistors, etc. The conditions are listed below. All the 1st order calculations for determining transistor sizes, DC biases and gain would be great. Specific requirements are given below:

Objective:
• Design single-ended amplifiers to maximize voltage gain for small load and large load
Components to use:
• nmos2v for (NMOS) and pmos2v for (PMOS) in the tsmc 18rf or tsmc library. Ideal sources, such as Vdd, gnd and Vds, in the analogLib library. No ideal resistor allowed in any lab.
Design Specifications:
1. Only NMOS and PMOS are allowed in your circuit except Vdd and gnd. No ideal sources are allowed for bias. Ideal voltage sources can only be used for the supply voltage, Vdd = 1.8V.
2. Range of Vinpc and Voutoc is 0.7V - 1.1V
3. Minimize:
• Power consumption (P) [Watts) and total CMOS gates (A) [um²]
4. Maximize:
• Amplifier DC gain (Av > 30dB). Note DC gain means low-frequency gain, but not 0 Hz. • Figure of Merit = Av / (P * A), Units: FOM = (Linear Scale) / (mW * um²)
5. Output load is a 1 MΩ and 500 Ω. Different amplifiers for each load is allowed.

Required Results & Discussions:
For each case (output load of 1 MΩ and 500 Ω):
Show all 1st-order hand calculations for determining transistor sizes, DC biases (all voltage & current), and gain (Av).

Aheat pump using refrigerant-134a heats a house by using underground water at 8°c as the heat source. the house is losing heat at a rate of 60,000 kj/h. the refrigerant enters the compressor at 280 kpa and 0°c, and it leaves at 1 mpa and 60°c. the refrigerant exits the condenser at 30°c. determine: (a) the power input to the heat pump, (b) the rate of heat absorption from the water, and (c) the increase in electric power input if an electric resistance heater is used instead of a heat pump
