Predict the trajectory of mist particles emitted from a smoke stack, with its top exit location 30m above ground level, to estimate the extent of horizontal travel. conditions are that the particle diameter is 10 m with a density twice that of water, and as it leaves the top of the smoke stack assume a horizontal wind velocity of 30 mph. assume the particle exit velocity is 5 m/s upward as it exits the smoke stack. at the instant it exits the stack assume it is exposed to the horizontal cross wind velocity. (note that the particle does not instantaneously have the same velocity as the cross wind velocity).
