velocity of at least 3ft/s must be maintainedin the pipe to prevent
deposition and provide scouring of anypreviously deposited solids.
however, a maximum velocity of 10ft/sis prescribed to prevent
oversizing the pumps. due to the nature ofthe waste water, you want
to target the high end of this range. find the proper diameter pipe
to the nearest 2" to achieve thisdesign objective.
