You have a piece of steel with dimensions of 100 x 100 x 10 mm thick and you want to machine in a milling machine which has three end mill type tools with 4 lips, and 3, 12 and 20 mm diameter respectively. if you plan to machine with 4500 revolutions per minute and according to the characteristics of the material and the type of the tool it is recommended to have a feed per revolution of 0.0555 mm., calculate for each tool the following: a)- the cutting speed of the tool. b)- the advance of the tool. c)- the advance per tooth.
