A60 v dc wind turbine is hooked up to charge a battery bank consisting of four 15 v batteries in series. the wind is not blowing, but the batteries must supply 2 loads. one is a light bulb, rated at 250 w at 60 v; the other is a heater which is rated at 2,000 w at 60 v. the loads are in parallel. the batteries may be considered to be constant 15 v voltage sources, with an internal series resistance of 0.05 ohm each a) find i) the resistance of each load and ii) the total resistance b) how much power is actually supplied to the loads? how does that power compare to that which is expected? c) how much power is lost in the internal resistance of the batteries? what fraction is this of the total power coming from the batteries? (ignore the effect of temperature on resistance of filament and heating elements.)

Two flowing streams of argon gas are adiabatically mixed to form a single flow/stream. one stream is 1.5 kg/s at 400 kpa and 200 c while the second stream is 2kg/s at 500 kpa and 100 ? . it is stated that the exit state of the mixed single flow of argon gas is 150 c and 300 kpa. assuming there is no work output or input during the mixing process, does this process violate either the first or the second law or both? explain and state all your assumptions.
