You are a network technician for a small corporate network. Your organization has several remote employees who usually work from home, but occasionally need to be in the office for meetings. They need to be able to connect to the network using their laptops. The network uses a DHCP server for IP address configuration for most clients. While working in the Lobby, a remote employee asks you to configure her laptop (named Gst-Lap) so she can connect to the network. The laptop is already configured with a static connection for her home office, but the laptop cannot connect to the network while at the office. You need to configure the TCP/IP properties on the laptop to work on both networks. In this lab, your task is to complete the following:
Record the laptop's static IP and DNS configuration settings.
Configure the laptop to obtain IP and DNS addresses automatically.
Create an alternate TCP/IP connection with static settings.
