Modify and run the throwing_darts3.m program for: 100, 1000, and 100000 darts. As you increase the number of trials, your error (difference between the real and your answer) should decrease. In the Lesson, we mentioned that the more trials you use, the better your answer will become. But the question is how "good" do you really want the answer to be. Do you need the value of to 4 decimal places, 7, 12, ...? How critical is your value of in the calculations. For example if you are cutting twine to go around a circle, the value of probably only needs to be to 1 decimal place. If you are calculating the trajectory to send a spacecraft to Jupiter, you probably want the value of to 10 decimal places. Then provide a two sentence commentary on what you observed and make an estimate of how many darts you would need to throw to have an error of about 0.1% error in this simple MATLAB code.
