QUESTION 1 Suppose we are developing a piece of software for the government of a hypothetical country. This country has a national security agency that we can trust entirely; we are 100% sure they are not corrupt and will not abuse any features we implement for them. This security agency has asked us to include a backdoor in our software that they can use. A backdoor is a method of bypassing normal authentication (and possibly encryption). Think of it as your front door - and every other front door in the neighbourhood - having an extra, very well-hidden, keyhole that accepts a master key. Only the security agency has access to this master key.

Would it be safe to include a back door in the software for this security agency to use? Why or why not?
