Can get another GCSE/A-level qualification after the ones I'm already taking? We had to pick our options in Year 8 (aged 12), and I know I made a massive mistake picking the ones I did. I took art and music, and am now realising my passion and overall skill for computer science.

I've always struggled choosing what I want to do with my life, e. g. my higher education, job, etc., and now I've realised the reason I've always struggled to decide is because I thought I was limited to the subjects I've picked for GCSE. If I consider all the courses, then the ones I know I want to take are ones that mean I would've had to have taken computer science as a GCSE.

My school downright refuses to let us switch subjects after a 6-week-period immediately after we've handed in our forms stating what subjects we want to take, so switching now is impossible. I really wish I could take online schooling, both to take more tech-related electives and because I would thrive so much better in online education, but that option is seemingly out of reach because I don't believe you can get funding for it, and my family refuse to pay for it, even if I help.

I'm just terrified. I can't see myself doing anything beside a job that directly relates to computer science, and I know I would be doing so much better if I had taken it. I know this question will probably get taken down because it's not directly academical, but there are other questions on this site of a similar vein, so I'm hoping it lasts long enough to get an answer, at least. I googled, and asked on student forums, but none gave me an answer.

If I was able to take another subject after my GCSEs, would it hold the same amount of status as the ones I'm already sitting? If I wasn't able, and had to pursue that education individually, where could I find it, and would it even count for anything? How much would it cost?
