Suppose you are asked to write two new application layer protocols for the US government. The first, (protocol 1), requires an application layer protocol to transfer information using an encryption algorithm built-in at the application layer that sends important information about International activities from a server in Washington, DC to a remote server in an Embassy in Europe. It is very important the protocol ensures the information it transmitted properly over the network.
