A branch of applied science, which is concerned with making a workplace fit and efficient for humans to work in. In this branch of science, the main focus is on the physical aspects of the environment e.g. to minimize any injury that can be caused by workplace, like furniture and devices.  

For example, while designing the furniture for the office several factors are kept in mind while designing the furniture. It’s designed in a way, that it causes comfort for the workers keeping in view the postures that are medically recommended.
