scatters light- solute particles are large in size as they are partially or fully insoluble in solvent  and can be seen with naked eyes, so whenever light is passed through it ,path of light is visible.separates into two  different layers-presence of physical boundaries in between the  layers of solute and of the solvent.can be separated out by filtration- due to formation of two different layers both the layers can be separated easily with the help of filtration technique.
