Animal cell organelles like lysozyme and the mitochondria have roles similar to the organs of the human digestive system.
The lysozyme is like our stomach because digests the food of the cell and has a acidic environment just like a stomach.
The mitochondria is like the intestine because it's responsible for converting the nutrients into energy that the body can use to function.
