An ore containing lead carbonate, PbCO3, was analyzed. All the lead in a 1.836 gram sample was converted to PbSO4(s) using a standard procedure involving treatment with HNO3(aq) followed by treatment with Na2SO4 solution. The lead sulfate which was recovered weighed 333 mg. What is the percent, by weight, of lead in the ore?
