Bee Crisis
Agri Scientists are quite concerned about the decline in the United States’ ongoing decline in bees. Do some online research about the causes and consequences of this problem. Write a two- to three-page essay on the bee crisis and be sure to include information about the following points:
How long it has been going on and how quickly the population is declining
Theories about the cause of the decline
The impact of the decline on the environment (use systems thinking to discuss all the consequences, not just those for plants)
The impact of the decline on agriscience and/or agriculture
Two suggestions for approaching the crisis and why there is reason to believe they will be effective
If all of these points are adequately covered, you will be using your fact-finding and critical-thinking skills. Also, remember what you learned in Unit 1 about reliable web sources. Make sure that the information you are gathering is from reputable sources and that you provide a list of articles and websites you used.
