I would say that the three types of matter in a single stream re-cycling process would be paper/cardboard, plastic and glass primarily. The separation of materials for recycling is very important to ensure that new products can be manufactured from the used ones, like fence posts from the white plastic say of margarine containers as an example.

Aphysical change is one that you can put in and remove like a ham sandwich. the stuff you put in there can be changem its not permanet. a chemical change is on that can't be change thats permanet. like when you make a cake and bake it. you can't get those ingredients back.
