State the chemical composition of the sterol that is present in high levels in most people who belong to the high-risk group.

People who are in the high-risk group contain elevated levels of cholesterol. In chemical terms, cholesterol is a fatty steroid alcohol or fatty sterol.  Since it is non-polar, its solubility in water is very minimal. The chemical formula for this sterol is C27H46O.
