What is the goal of the "reuse, reduce, recycle" campaign?

The hierarchy establishes preferred program priorities based on sustainability.[1] To be sustainable, waste management cannot be solved only with technical end-of-pipe solutions and an integrated approach is necessary.[2]

The goal is to reduce or "cut down" on landfill overfilling. If something is recycled it is reused instead of going to a landfill. So it's to extend the time before the earth is filled with trash. I hope this helped you. Have a great day! :)
