Pedalfer soils are normally found in areas where there is a temperate climate is present, and it is the region which receives more than 60 centimeters of rain every year.

Usually this soil is very fertile in nature, also they contain abundant aluminum and iron in it. They appear to be a brown-black color soil.

They are largely found in the eastern half part of the United States and also in most of he parts in Canada.
