(01.04 MC) An ice cream sundae was left outside in the sun before it was
eaten. The ice cream sundae had chocolate chips, whipped cream,
and strawberries. The total mass of the ice cream sundae was 500
grams. Which best describes what happens to the mass of the
sundae? (1 point)
When the ice cream melts it will trap air which will make the sundae
heavier.
As the ice cream melts into a liquid, the liquid will evaporate, making
the sundae lighter
After the sundae melts into a liquid the mass will be greater since
liquids have a greater mass.
The mass of the melted sundae will be the same as the mass of the
frozen sundae.
