Why is the Ca(NO3)2 is added before AgNO3 in the anion scheme? It does not mater which compound is added first.

If AgNO3 is added before Ca(NO3)2, both AgCl and Ag2SO4 can precipitate. In that case, we can not determine that the precipitate are due to chloride ion or sulfate ion.

Ca(NO3)2 is added before AgNO3 to determine cations present.

Ca(NO3)2 is added before AgNO3 to determine nonionic compounds.
