El oxido de titanio (IV) TiO2 es
una sustancia blanca que se
produce por la reacción de ácido
sulfurico (H2S04) con el mineral
ilmenita (FeTi03): FeTiO3 + H2S04
TiO2 + FeSO4 + H20Sus
propiedades de opacidad y no
toxicidadlo hace una sustancia
idónea para pigmentos de
plásticos y pinturas. En un
proceso 1.85Kg de FeTiO3 al 95%
de pureza reaccionaron con 2.48
Kg H2S04. Determinara.
1. Reactivo límite y reactivo en
exceso.
2. Gramos de Oxido de titanio (IV)
formados en la reacción
3. Gramos del reactivo en
exceso que no participan en la
reacción.
