It is now time to complete the "Nuclear Energy" discussion. The use of nuclear
energy to generate electricity is a highly controversial topic. Nuclear fission
provides an enormous amount of energy with very little input. Normal
operations release only steam and warm water back into the environment and
radioactive waste from spent fuel rods are locked away in surface impoundments.
Do you think we should continue to increase the number of nuclear power plants
in this country to meet our population's every growing needs? Why or why not?
