Definition of lunar position

The lunar phase or moon phase is the shape of the moons directly sunlight position as viewed from earth.

Lunar position is pretty much just where the stars and planets are currently located. When I say "stars and planets" I'm mostly refering to the moon here as that's what lunar is refering too. Hence, a lunar eclipse.

Lunar is an adjetive that means "of, determined by, or resembling the moon."

There is a great example of lunar position happening on December 21th, 2020. Jupiter and Saturn are going to be completely aligned with the Earth creating what is known as "The Christmas Star" It will happen around 10pm (Eastern Standard Time) and it's worth the watch if you have the time as this event only happens roughly every 800 years or so.
