Example: A quinhydrone electrode is placed in aqueous
solution of a weak acid and is connected to a calomel
electrode through a salt bridge. The cell is used in the
titration of the acid by NaOH. At 75% neutralisation, the
potential of the cell is 0.275V. The calomel electrode
potential is 0.2415V. The standard potential of the
quinhydrone electrode is 0.699V at 298K.
(a) Write the cell reaction.
(b) Calculate the pH of the solution.
