A student sttempts to prepare a 1.25 M stock solution of sodium hydroxide (NAOH) for the lab. He miscalculates and measuresd out the wrong mass of sodium hydroxide. He ends up adding 225g NaOh to 5L of water.
a. What is the concentration of the solution he prepared?
b. Does the student need to add solvent or solute to obtain 1.25M? Why?
c. How much solvent would need to be added to dilute this solution to 0.045M?
