Acoffee cup calorimeter contains 100. ml of 0.300 m hydrochloric acid at 20.3oc. when 1.82 g zinc metal is added and the reaction is completed, the temperature rises to 30.5oc. assuming that the heat capacity of the calorimeter, gas produced, and leftover chemical is negligible, and that the heat capacity of resulting dilute solution is same as that of pure water (ml for ml), determine and write the thermochemical equation for the reaction of zinc with hydrochloric acid.
