During a macroscale fractional distillation to separate cyclohexane and toluene (25 ml each), water was not running through the condenser until we reach about 15 ml of distillate. the first drop of distillate was observed at 85 centigrades. the distillation curve didn't show a clear first plateau (temperature vs volume of distillate). it looks like a simple distillation curve. we didn't obtain the first drop until 85 centigrades because of the condensator issue? why the lack of plateau (slightly steep curve) has persisted after connecting the water source. you!

When 225mg of anthracene, c14h10(s), was burned in a bomb calorimeter the temperature rose by 1.75k. calculate the calorimeter constant. by how much will the temperature rise when 125mg of phenol, c6h5oh(s), is burned in the calorimeter under the same conditions? (δch< (c14h10,s)=–7061 kj mol−1.)
