okay this isn't for a grade, i'm just really curious. people are always saying that fossil fuels are running out, but there has been repeated laboratory experiments show that coal will form quickly when moist vegetation is heated in the absence of oxygen. this means coal can be created, and quicker than millions of years as widely believed.
so why do people believe the fossil fuels will run out?
