Steam, flowing at 2 kg/s, enters a turbine at 800 +c and 4.5 mpa, and exits at 400 +c and 0.10 mpa. e is fully insulated, the turbine produces work at a rate in excess of 1700 kw. however when a significant piece of insulation comes off the turbine, the rate of work decreases to 1500 kw. explain, with detailed and careful calculations, the above two observations.
