The colors seen on the shiny side of a cd or dvd are due to

They are seen due to the light bouncing off of it. It is almost like a mirror so, it reflects the light so your eyes can see the bright light. Also, the colors are seen because of the light refracting. :)

the number of protons in the nucleus of a given element. has slight luster and conducts electricity at high temperatures like metal.but like a nonmetal,boron is brittle and does not conduct electricity well at low temperatures. in graphite, carbon is a soft,brittle solid.it is reflective,ductile,or malleable.
