They also have the E/A-18 Growler. This replaced the E/A-6 Prowler. The E/A-6 is the electronic warfare version of the A-6 Intruder (now retired). You also have the E-2C Hawkeye. The Grey Hound the the transport version. These are used today. But you have the ships. The new USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), it went active of December 2019. These are some of the biggest carries. The old Enterprise was the largest in the world. We last used battle ships in 1991 during Operation Desert Storm. They all have been removed from service after 1991. But we have the best cruiser you can buy. The USS Zumwalt! Lets face, you see it, and you are an enemy, don`t bother shooting guided missiles at it, it has chaf, and rockets to intercept these. Just kiss your but good bye cause you are dead. The  Ticonderoga class of guided-missile cruisers are armed with well, guided missiles that can hit targets deep inland. These are more effective than the 21 mile range of the battle ships. The functions for all of the U.S Navy`s equipment, is to destroy the enemy while keeping the sailors, and the crew on the ships, not to mention the pilots safe while serving our nation.
