Human capital is the stock of habits, skills, knowledge, social and personality attributes embodied in the ability to perform labor so as to produce economic value. In other words, human capital is some of the knowledge, experience, skills and social qualities that embodied in a person’s ability to perform work in a manner that produces economic value.

Companies can invest in human capital for example through training and education enabling improved levels of production and quality. For employers, investing in human capital involves commitment and dedication to give training, educational bonuses and benefits, apprenticeship programs, family assistance, and funding scholarship to the employee. However, for employees, obtaining an education and training is the most obvious investment in human capital.

Furthermore, neither employees nor employers have any assurance that their investment in human capital will pay off. For example, during the economic depression, some college degree holders struggle to get jobs, and an employer might train employees to get their ability polished and performance in work.

Professional skills and training to employee or person who is finding job polish their abilities to perform best. However, some professional skills and training to employees, increase their chances to earn more. For example, if a clerk, working manual entries into register, got training on inventory management system can earn more and find other best option for employment where he can earn more than that.

Two best professional skills are computer and business communication skills are paid too much. The computer skills are, like get hands-on experience or training to administrative or office work (e.g. MS office skills), database management, inventory management software, customer support services software, web site or blog management, social media marketing and advertising skills. While business communication skills are how can you effectively communicate with others in business context, technical writing, report preparation, and presentation skills, etc.

These two skills computer and business communication are essential to earn much more. For example, if you have skills in WordPress blogging, then you can earn much more and do freelancing. While business communication skills enable you to deal effectively in solving business matters, provide customer satisfaction response, winning business proposals, etc. These skills enable you to earn and learn more.
