What is your assessment of the ways in which chipotle has responded to the food poisoning incidents in some of its restaurants? since the beginning in its first outbreak, chipotle has been aggressive. they expand the testing of fresh product, raw meat and dairy items. replaced all the ingredients in closed restaurants. the company closed stores in affected area for deep cleaning and moved quickly to implement new safety procedures. chipotle did the same thing that some restaurants did- it closed every store across the united states. during the lunch they hold a meeting to discuss the procedure. the company introduced new safety programmes for its food safety practices. they put the safety measures on every ingredient they use in their menu to meet the high quality standards. they trained employees to implement the new system in the working area. these include: a). high resolution dna based testing of many ingredients before they use in the food making. b). changes the food handling and preparation practices like from shredding to washing the vegetables. c). new training mechanism for staff d). made sick leave design to ensure that if any employee is sick is away from restaurant, rest at home. e). they decide to spent $10 million to local farmers to produce organic food
