Personality conflicts are a potential minefield for managers, especially considering personality traits by definition are stable and resistant to change, which can cause conflict to persist over time. traditionally, managers dealt with personality conflicts by either ignoring them or transferring one of the parties. besides being less than perfect solutions, such practices are also increasingly a source of legal liability in the united states. because of the potentially serious implications of personality conflicts, this activity asks you to identify and apply various means for dealing with personality conflicts at work from different perspectives—the one having conflict, the one observing the conflict, and one managing people who are in conflict.
