Is the advancement in information technology the investment outcomes? internet is facilitating the transfer of information almost instantaneously as new market related and/or firm related information is produced. there is reduced need of brokers as the purchasing and selling of securities can be done electronically. research and analysis has become much easier with both the low/no cost availability of information and then its analysis in almost no time. the development and trading of etfs and high frequency trades are due to the advancement in technology. cite similar examples that highlights the use of technology in investments and discuss the benefits/harms from this technological advancement. use your example and the examples provided by fellow students to make a prediction about the impact of this growth in technology on the future in investment field. this is an open ended question and i don't want to put any restrictions to it by putting any further guidelines. my expectation is that the example you write should be relevant to the course material, you should cite references (if you use any) and your post should be long enough for other readers to understand your view. a paragraph with about 12-15 lines is sufficient but you can write more if you want to.
