Therefore, one would not be able to detect between these GMOs and non-GMOs except by examining their DNA. However, other GMOs have been engineered to have physical characteristics that are appealing to consumers, such as exceptionally colourful or large fruit. These GMOs would be easier to distinguish from non GMOs.
