Question: farmer brown has sprayed his fields to kill the grasshoppers eating the grass in his pastures. predict what will happen to the other living things in this food chain. will their number increase or decrease and why?

it would effect the; grasshoppers themselves, snakes; they wouldn't have as much food to eat, and hawks; who wouldn't have much snakes to eat. so those are all affected negatively. but the grass and mushrooms would flourish ; the grass doesn't have any crickets munching on it, and the mushrooms would have a lot more dead animals to decompose. so therefore,  grass hoppers are a major factor in the food chain so it would effect everything in the food chain some would die.

Alright, i'm gonna try to explain this as good as possible. the law of conservation is like a collection overtime. it never changes though. no matter how you change the constituent parts.
