Which codon is the code for the amino acid serine (ser)?

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. A codon is a group of three nucleotides that codes for a specific amino acid during the biosynthesis of proteins. During the synthesis of proteins (translation) in the cytoplasm of a cell the mRNA which contains the codons is read by the anticodons in the tRNA  which then leads to formation of polypeptides and then proteins. Serine is one of the amino acid that is coded by several codons including UCC, UCU, UCA, AGU, UCG and AGC. where A is the adenine, C is cytosine, U is uracil and G is guanine.
