Describe one difference in the pattern of development of a grasshopper and pattern of development of a butterfly

the main difference between the development of a butterfly and a locust is, butterfly undergoes complete metamorphosis which has four distinctive stages, egg, larvae pupa and adult. on the other hand grasshopper undergoes incomplete metamorphosis that consists of three stages, egg, nymph and adult. the early stages of a butterfly do not resemble the adult whereas the nymph looks like a smaller adult grasshopper.
