Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity where all species have an important role to play. plants, animals and microorganism provide services to which contribute to the delicately running natural cycle of life (biodiversity), that help make earth habitable and contribute to our way of living in more ways than one. From providing us meals and medicine (apothecary) they also help reduce the impact of natural disasters such as floods. Biodiversity helps to moderate the elements, reduces bills such as utility, and prevents any large scale damage. The organization Of Conservation American Forests says, "depending on location, species, size, and condition, shade from trees can reduce utility bills for air conditioning in residential and commercial buildings by 15 to 50 percent"
