The amount of carbon stored in the Earth's atmosphere is miniscule compared to the amount stored in oceans, soils, and geologic formations. The start of the industrial revolution nearly 300 years ago, marked the beginning of the period during which anthropogenic (human) activities moved large amounts of carbon from carbon stores to the atmosphere. Human lifestyle changes currently result in a net addition of approximately 9 gigatons per year to the atmosphere. Carbon that had been essentially locked away from the carbon cycle for millions of years is now moving to into the atmosphere at a quicker rate than 300 hundred years ago. Based on the text write a paragraph (4-6 sentences) predicting how the utilization of nonrenewable resources impacts the DOM in the deep ocean system?
