Explanation:

Blood vessels constrict and platelets release fibrin proteins, which tangle together to form a clot and close the wound when the skin is penetrated. The blood arteries then dilate again, allowing white blood cells to flood the wound. These go after any bacteria that managed to get through the blockage.

Cuts and scratches are damaged regions on the skin's surface. A cut is a line of damage that can penetrate the skin and into the muscular tissues beneath it, whereas a scratch is superficial damage that does not enter the lower tissues. Cuts and scrapes can bleed, turn red, develop infected, and leave scars if they are not treated promptly.

Your skin may begin to bleed after a cut, scrape, or abrasion. Because the damage fractures or rips the small blood vessels just beneath the skin's surface, this occurs. The platelets blood come to the rescue when your body needs to stop the bleeding.
